Benchmark weeks can play a valuable role in tracking our progress. 


Ours include typical benchmark workouts and movements so we can see our progress. 


Don’t fall into the trap of believing that "progress" is simply an increase in lifts or decreasing time on the WOD’s. While these are indicators of concrete improvement, other variables come into play:


  • How you paced a workout compared to last time, 


  • More efficient movement (Mechanics and consistency)


  • Not having to break rep schemes up as much, 


  • Even just a better mental approach to the workout can show progress. 


Tracking your workouts to see where you were, where you are, and where you want to go is an important part of your fitness journey. It also shouldn't deter you from the consistency that is the true key to our overall health and longevity.⠀

The key to these Benchmark weeks is to have fun and continue to enjoy the process of gaining a life long fitness.
